Mint Green Tops: 1. Nasty Gal, 2. Lulu’s, 3. Nasty Gal
Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. This column will focus on one piece per week, and teach you how to take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
We’ve been on mint trend alert for what seems like years, and for good reason – this cool, pastel green is a breath of fresh air for our spring wardrobes, and it looks fab with all of the season’s hottest shades. Styling this unique hue can sometimes be tricky, so this week I’ll be showing you how to style a basic mint top for class and a night out.

Top, Shorts, Bag, Belt, Sandals, Bangles, Earrings
Combat the heat (and those suspiciously un-air conditioned classrooms) by pairing your mint top with a pair of bright shorts. Not only are these adorable floral shorts on trend, they’re super cute and will match nearly any top. Keep accessories simple, with just a chic brown satchel for your books, a hot pink belt, gold-toned sandals and matching stud earrings. Add multi-colored bangles for a more playful look.

Top, Jeans, Bag, Pumps, Earrings
In chillier weather, or on nights where you need to look a little more conservative, black skinny jeans will make you look effortlessly polished, and will make the mint shirt pop. For more color fun, try a fuchsia cross-body bag and a pair of bright heels in a neon variation on mint. Crystal drop earrings complete the look.
What’s your favorite trendy color? Have you tried out mint yet? Be sure to let me know what you think of the outfits in the comments, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
