Angelina Jolie has said that she didn’t pay attention to the storm that was caused after her infamous leg flash at the Oscars this year.

The actress had become the subject of much ridicule when she posed for the cameras at the Academy Awards with her bare leg emerging from the black Versace gown she wore. It spawned a number of Internet memes and even generated its own Twitter handle.

However, in an interview with the Huffington Post, the 36-year-old claimed ignorance of the whole issue.

“I honestly didn’t pay attention to it. You know what I mean? I don’t watch those TV shows and if I go online and see something about myself, I don’t click on it. And the people I surround myself with don’t really talk about that kind of stuff,” she said.

Jolie did admit, however, that she had some inkling of what was going on.

“I heard something, but I didn’t pay any attention. It’s as simple as being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night, and not really thinking about anything else,” she said.
