The Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards saw senior members of the film production sector — producers, distributors, exhibitors and others being honoured for their outstanding services to the film industry. The awards ceremony was a well attended affair spearheaded by many biggies from Bollywood. Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar with Saira Banu unveiled the wax statute of Dadasaheb Phalke. Kajol and Tanisha received the award on behalf of their mother Tanuja. Kajol also took an award on behalf of Ajay Devgn. Gurdas Mann, Ali Zafar, Anjana Sukhani, Subhash Ghai and Raza Murad were amongst others who attended the event.
