A Screaming Man (Chad)

A Screaming Man invokes the deep and often painful connection between the personal and the political. Adam, a 60-something-year-old man, is the pool attendant at an upscale N’Djamena hotel in present-day Chad. When the hotel is taken over by new Chinese owners, he is forced to give up his job to his son, Abdel. Adam, left angry and socially humiliated, is also left to deal with the repercussions of the civil war raging in the country.
