10 Best Dressed Stars: Tessa Thompson, Timothee Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, and More

Visits: 18

The bulk of this week’s best dressed stars were spotted at the annual Venice Film Festival in Italy—an unsurprising hub for eye-catching red carpet moments. Hollywood’s A-listers reimagined the formal dress code by choosing unconventional silhouettes that made the paparazzi go wild.

Take Tessa Thompson in her otherworldly Elie Saab couture ensemble at the Bardo premiere. The high, sculptural cape and long, draped train couldn’t help but command attention. Equally as captivating was the multicolor, crayon-print gown that Jodie Turner-Smith wore to the same premiere—a look that doubled as a wearable painting. Both celebrities were styled by the duo Wayman + Micah, who have been stealing the show throughout Venice.

There were some standout pant looks this week, too. At the premiere of her new film Tár, Cate Blanchett slipped into Schiaparelli’s jumpsuit with floral trim at the bust, almost like a bouquet. At the premiere of Bones and All, Timothée Chalamet also went backless in Haider Ackermann’s red silky catsuit with a draped and tied front. The latter was certainly a far cry from the standard, classic suits most men in Hollywood wear. More of that, please!

Which were your favorite celebrity looks this week? Be sure to vote below, and check back on Friday to see which ensemble is the ultimate best dressed of the week.
