The 2025 Met Gala has officially wrapped, leaving us with a pregnancy reveal from Rihanna and plenty of fashion and beauty looks to digest from the likes of Jennie, Doechii, Charli XCX and Zendaya.
But, we don’t have much time to sit with our feelings because on fashion’s night of nights dinner bleeds straight into the Met Gala after party, or parties.
What happens after the Met Gala Following the world’s most exciting red carpet stars sit down for the dinner (historically, what happens after the Met Carpet is kept closely under wraps). Then, it’s time to skip to after parties scattered around New York City. Usually these are hosted by co-chairs, designers of note and brands. This year, co-chairs like A$AP Rock and Pharrell are hosting soirees (A$AP’s might double as a baby shower).
Given many looks at the Gala made reference to the events theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style taking notes from fine tailoring and giving historic nodes to black culture and style, we’re eager to see whether the theme carries over into the nights events. Will we see more celebs suited up or something entirely different?
