It’s been nearly half a decade since the first Black Panther movie hit theaters, which can feel like half a century in Marvel years. So, when the stars turned out to celebrate the premiere of Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever on Wednesday evening, the occasion felt particularly momentous. And while there was a lot to commemorate—including a new Rihanna single (!) headlining the movie’s soundtrack—at the top of the list was the memory of the late Chadwick Boseman, whose legacy as the titular hero remains the beating heart of the franchise. Back in 2018, among other accomplishments, Boseman and the rest of the Black Panther crew cemented themselves as the best-dressed cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s no surprise that his castmates have continued to carry that torch in his stead.
