TikTok’s one percenter princess influencer Becca Bloom has secured her place in the expensive American weddings hall of fame, tying the knot in a multi-day Lake Como wedding in Italy.
Bloom’s wedding to software engineer David Pownall in Lake Como cost between $3 million and $4 million US and arrive alongside the weddings of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, and Eve Jobs and Harry Charles, and she’s ridden the “RichTok” wave on TikTok, accumulating six million followers since she first posted a video of her cat in January this year.
Despite her dizzying wealth, Bloom, whose real name is Rebecca Ma, and her husband met in very ordinary circumstances. They first met at Philz Coffee in Palo Alto on December 28, 2019. Pownall swept her off her feet by offering to buy her a cup of coffee, but she told him she only drank tea. She admitted she’s not a natural flirt. “‘[It’s] not the flirtiest response, but somehow he rolled with it.’” Billionaire TikTok influencers—they’re trying to cut down on caffeine, just like us.
In the lead-up to her wedding, Bloom has been documenting trips to Paris to shop for wedding dresses, the luxury gifts accumulating under her “wedding tree”, and wedding venue, décor ideas, and invitations. Fans have been following along avidly. As expected from an influencer who regularly unboxes hauls full of Dior, Chanel, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels and Hermes, we can’t take our eyes of her wedding wardrobe.
Bloom described herself in an interview with Vogue as a “type B bride”, and she wasn’t afraid of bucking tradition when she chose her gowns for the multiple-day celebrations. For her first look, Bloom wore an Oscar de la Renta mini dress with a single oversized flower to the rehearsal dinner and boat ride. She said, “I know my wedding wardrobe choices were bolder and more colourful than the traditional white palette, but I wanted the weekend to feel playful and fun. I tried on countless white gowns, but in the end, I followed what made me happiest and nothing felt more joyful than stepping into a giant flower.”
At rehearsal, she wore vintage Chanel couture from their 2003 Cruise collection with a playful ice cream motif (her “favourite indulgence” and an inside joke with her fiancé—their first date featured coffee and ice cream, and she’s lactose intolerant). She styled the dress with René Caovilla heels with serpentine jewelled straps and a Bvlgari Tubogas necklace in pink gold with a cushion rubellite and pavé-set diamonds, along with matching earrings and a bracelet.
For her wedding gown, Bloom selected a custom Oscar de la Renta gown embroidered with laser-cut blooming peonies and high jewellery pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels’ Folie des Prés collection (which features pieces that sell for over $400,000 USD). “Peonies are considered the unofficial flower of China, where both my parents are from and they fill the garden of my childhood home,” Bloom told Vogue. For shoes, she wore white Chanel heels. Her look was completed with a Tiffany Victoria wedding band and her Spinelli Kilkcollin engagement ring. David, for his part, wore a Ralph Lauren Purple Label cream suit.
Celebrities like George Clooney and Chrissy Teigen have held their weddings in Lake Como, and Bloom shared on TikTok that the venue cost between $100,000 and $150,000.
Despite the meticulous planning, Bloom describes herself as a “Type B bride.” She didn’t give her bridesmaids responsibilities and wanted everyone to feel like they were on a “beautiful Italian vacation.”

For her wedding dress, Bloom selected a custom Oscar de La Renta gown with laser-cut blooming peonies, a nod to her Chinese heritage and the blossoms in the garden of her childhood home. “Every year, it would bloom with peonies, and they became my favourite flower and a lasting symbol of family and home,” she told Vogue.
Ceremony Jewellery: Van Cleef & Arpels, Folie des Prés Collection
Opulent floral suite that mirrored the garden-party romance of her Lake Como nuptials. The collection, whose name translates to “madness of the meadows,” takes inspiration from wildflowers in bloom, with each piece designed to capture nature’s spontaneous beauty and vibrant charm.
Crafted in rhodium-plated 18K white gold and set with pavé-set diamonds, the jewels brought a soft, botanical elegance to Bloom’s bridal look. She paired the necklace with matching earrings and a bracelet, layering the look with her signature mix of softness and statement.

Ceremony Shoes: Christian Louboutin, Cassia Lace Up Heels in Blush

Bloom opted for ultra-feminine balletcore pumps, a nod to her many years of dance training, to complement her sweeping gown.

Bloom tracked down these hot pink René Caovilla heels in Paris and wore them for her first look. “I paired the dress with René Caovilla heels, whose jeweled straps coil around the ankle like a serpent, a subtle nod to the Year of the Snake,” she told Vogue.

Welcome Breakfast Dress:
We love a lactose-intolerant queen with a sense of humour, and Becca shared with Vogue that her welcome breakfast dress, a Chanel cruise 2004/2005 dress from vintage bridal salon Happy Isles salon, was a reference to one of her and David’s first dates.
Beauty:
Bloom partnered with Lancôme for her wedding makeup and she wanted something natural. “We’re having a very intimate wedding, so all the guests see me on a daily basis,” she said. “I don’t want them to be surprised or anything. I just want to look like me.” This translated to what Mr. Daniel Bloom described as a “glossy, sparkly fun beauty look that feels a little bit more natural and fun.” A smoky eye, a pink lip and lots of mascara.
