The trailer kicks off with Kendrick, in character as Stephanie Smothers, holding a small conference about the double life that Lively's character, Emily Nelson, lived that ultimately became a true crime plot. Fans get a glimpse of Emily's wedding look in the trailer—a beautiful fitted corset gown that contains a sweetheart neckline with floral appliqué details worn with high opera gloves. Finishing off the look is a cathedral length train, which is dip-dyed to look like it's covered in blood. The blood effect is accent with twinkling red sequins to make it glitter as Emily walks down the aisle for the cliffside wedding.

Director Paul Feig didn't give too much away about the forthcoming film, which premieres on March 7, but recently revealed in an X post that "Blake and Anna turn in amazing performances. I can’t wait for you all to see it."
