Cannes Has Been An Unexpected Source Of Wedding Dress Inspiration

When you’re looking for the perfect wedding dress, every occasion can be a source of inspiration—and the Cannes red carpet is no exception.

Already, the Croisette has been offering plenty of black-tie inspiration, with celebrities delivering striking looks despite the ban on “overly voluminous” gowns and naked dresses. But for aspiring brides, it was Swedish model Elsa Hosk who caught our eye as she arrived for the premiere of Vie Privée (A Private Life).

Hosk, who keeps a low profile throughout the year, has made a habit of appearing at Cannes, nailing the assignment, and heading home. Her creamy gown by designer Anastasia Zadorina featured a cinched bodice with draping along the bust line, an asymmetric detail at the hips, and a flowing, feather-trimmed skirt that added just the right touch of flamboyance.

She styled the gown with a simple diamond necklace and drop earrings from Chopard. Her beauty look is also worth bookmarking. Makeup artist Harold James opted for a soft take on Old Hollywood glamour, with smoked-out brown liner, a peachy nude lip and blush, and brushed-up brows. Hairstylist Hyungsun Ju kept things modern with a sculptural coiffure and exaggerated, almost architectural, side-swept fringe.

Hosk isn’t the only celebrity at Cannes providing us with wedding dress inspiration. Here are our favourite bridal-style moments so far.
