CALIFORNIA – Pakistani denim manufacturer Artistic Milliners has acquired a factory in Los Angeles, California, which it holds ambitions of turning into a state-of-the-art garment manufacturing site equipped with the latest digital solutions.
“This acquisition gives us a strategic foothold in the US, in a region with significant geographic and demographic advantages,” says Murtaza Ahmed, Artistic Milliners’ executive director.
Under the name Star Fades International (SFI), it’s hoped the new factory can accelerate the firm’s speed to market in western markets, and might pique the curiosity of brands and retailers interested in exploring near-shoring opportunities.
