MESHKI marked the arrival of the holiday season in Sydney this month with an intimate evening that blurred the line between a fashion presentation and an immersive experience. Titled The Nile by Night, the 50-guest dinner celebrated the Australian fashion house’s latest collection, The Nile, translating the campaign’s visual language into a multi-sensory event.
Held at Pier 2/3 in Walsh Bay, the evening unfolded as a natural extension of the collection itself. Guests entered a dramatically transformed space, where soft draping, sculptural styling and low amber lighting echoed the fluid silhouettes and liquid textures that define The Nile. Signature lychee martinis set the tone before attendees were guided into a seated dinner beneath a billowing canopy, designed to feel both intimate and theatrical.
Founded by Natalie Khoei and Shadi Kord, MESHKI has built a loyal global following through its considered approach to occasion wear. The co-founders, who hosted the evening, addressed guests throughout the night, speaking to the evolution of the brand and the craftsmanship behind the collection. Movement, light and rhythm are central themes in The Nile, expressed through embellished detailing and draped forms — motifs that subtly shaped every element of the event.
The tablescape leaned into a moody, sculptural palette: chrome finishes, layered neutrals and warm lighting mirrored the campaign’s refined aesthetic. Dinner concluded with a striking chocolate mousse paired with pomegranate, a final flourish designed to punctuate the evening with colour and contrast.
As the formalities gave way to celebration, DJ Ebony Boadu took over, shifting the atmosphere from dining to dancing and carrying the night into its final hours. The guest list reflected MESHKI’s growing cultural footprint, bringing together Australian creators, editors and long-time supporters alongside international attendees.
