For those trying to fill the Gilmore Girls-sized void in their lives, Ginny & Georgia has well and truly stepped up to the plate. The second season of the mother-daughter centric show was one of Netflix’s biggest releases of the season, and suffice to say that after binge watching the entirety within a day, we’re ready for season three.
Well, wait no longer, because Netflix has blessed us with welcome news that, not only has the series already been renewed for a fourth season, but the next instalment is but months away.

Following 16-year-old Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her 30-something mum Georgia (Brianne Howey), the series has delved into the highs and lows of their life in flux, the woes of teenage love and friendships and navigating family dynamics. Essentially, it’s a comfort watch with grit—and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.
The end of the second season left us with a cliffhanger that sparked more questions than answers, so we’re relieved to hear that Ginny and Georgia’s story will be continued.
Below, everything we know about the upcoming seasons.
What Will Happen In Season 3?
Another brief warning—major spoilers lie ahead! The ending of season two saw Georgia arrested for the murder of Tom, but it’s left ambiguous as to whether she’ll be convicted of the murder. We suspect season three will delve into the court case and ultimately reveal if the young mum will have to do jail time.
Speaking to Screenrant about her character Georgia’s arc in season two, Howey explained: “I think this is her absolute rock bottom. This is everything she’s been trying to avoid. This is the house of cards that she’s been holding onto so tightly, and it has literally all come crashing down.”
“When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be,” Sarah Lampert, the show’s executive producer, told Tudum before the launch of the second season. “Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.” And that she did. However, “it’s not over until it’s over,” Howey continued. “We can’t wrap it up in a pretty bow. That’s not real life. That’s certainly not Georgia’s life. It never has been. Why would it start to be her life now?”
Lampert also revealed that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will throw “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges” at the mother-daughter duo “in a way we haven’t seen before on the show.”
As for Ginny, she and Marcus ultimately decided to call their romance off, but they’re still friends. Obviously, that’s enough of a window to assume there’s still a chance for them to get back together in season three.
When Will Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Be Released?
It’s been a long wait between seasons, but we finally have confirmation that new episodes of Ginny & Georgia will drop from June 5, 2025.
Until then, you can catch up on the last two drama-filled seasons on Netflix, now. But if you really can’t wait, then keep scrolling for a taste of what’s to come.
