Dame Helen Mirren is at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival doing (I assume) all sorts of fabulous things. As a brand ambassador, that includes attending L’Oréal’s fourth annual Lights on Women’s Worth Awards, a program that bolsters talented women in the film industry while shedding light on age-old gender inequality issues—and the barriers they come with. “You know, the day of the presentation of the award—it’s so important for those young filmmakers, these young women…it's wonderful, you know, to see the excitement and the pride. It's a lovely thing to see, to be a small part of,” Mirren told InStyle.
We also discussed all things beauty—thank god, because that is one wise woman with decades of wisdom. The Dame shared that her go-to complexion product is the “really really good” L'Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation.

“They've got a big selection of colors and it's a fabulous foundation,” she told me. “A lot of the makeup artists that I work with use it as well.” She’s right (obviously). L'Oréal Paris’s True Match Foundation comes in a whopping 47 shades, all in a hydrating formula with medium coverage and a natural finish.
Although Helen Mirren gets her glam done by an “amazing factory line” of makeup artists and other beauticians, nearly 4,000 laypeople love this foundation, too. One middle-aged shopper said it “smooths over texture, large pores, dry patches, and wrinkles,” giving skin a “youthful” complexion. Another person with “splotchy” skin, redness, and undereye bags said they’ve gotten “so many compliments on how healthy [they] look” since using L'Oréal Paris’s True Match Foundation.
The Helen Mirren-used L'Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Foundation is already a steal at $14, but considering it’s currently less than a specialty latte, you’ll want to purchase it sooner rather than later.
P.S. The products below are some of Mirren’s other favorites.
