With the heatwave breaking and cooler days upon us, it’s clear that boot season is just around the corner. And lucky for us, high-street stores haven’t held back in offering up their best boots just in time for the changing temperatures.
When it comes to our autumn capsule pieces, alongside our trench coats and knitwear are reliable boots that we’ll wear from now through to spring. As much as we enjoyed sandal weather and will continue to wear our Birkenstocks around the house (and probably when popping to the shops), the move to autumn days calls for trusty boots, in whatever form you prefer.
Classic flat boots will forever be a wardrobe staple, but other occasions allow for more freedom when it comes to footwear. For evenings, a heeled pair will elevate outfits easily, whilst damper days may require chunky soles. As always, our favourite high-street stores have classic styles along with the newest trending designs that the fashion crowd is already embracing. If you’ve ever considered investing in a pair of cowboy boots, the fashion crowd at Copenhagen Fashion Week has assured us that these are this season’s must-have style, whilst knee-high boots are still as relevant as ever, be they flat-soled or heeled.
