I’m Wary of Bikinis, but This Flattering Two-Piece With a Genius Detail Changed My Mind

The $38 find is a game-changer for my confidence.

Bikinis and I have a very tumultuous relationship; I admire them from afar, and I love them on other people, but I don’t like to wear them. They make me feel exposed, and while a one-piece is great for more coverage, I have a short torso, so finding one that fits right can be tricky, too. 

I sound like Goldilocks, but one style that I’ve had my eye on is a high-waisted swimsuit—and I think it checks all my boxes. For one, it provides more coverage than your average bikini, and it’s a two-piece so it’s comfortable for all-day wear. Now, the only question that remains is which color to add to cart? I might just get them all.

There’s all these tips for finding the most flattering bikini, but let me say that the most flattering option is the one you feel your best in. Whether it has itty-bitty coverage or extra coverage, what makes you feel good is always the best choice. This Blooming Jelly High-Waisted set has a high-waisted, full-coverage bikini bottom, and a standard bikini top—with adjustable straps—that I know will be ultra-supportive for my 32G bust. 

Just because I want a two-piece swimsuit with a bit more coverage than your average bikini doesn’t mean I want to be completely covered, either.
