As far as stylish celebrity couples go, Justin and Hailey Bieber are the sartorial equivalent of “When you and your homie are riding different waves but still building.” The duo, who married in 2018 and are frequently photographed together, often appear as though they got dressed on different planets. There was that time a few months back when Justin wore alien-eyed sunglasses and baggy jeans while Hailey rocked a drop-dead Saint Laurent minidress and a floor-length fur coat. As recently as Sunday, at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, Hailey wore another knockout YSL gown while Bieber pulled up (late) draped in a crochet blanket. (To be fair, this is a thing he’s been doing lately.)
But Monday, the day after the Oscars hullabaloo, the couple debuted a newfound knack for coordination on a stroll around LA. Justin sported a droopy gray crewneck, a boucle-tweed trucker jacket with cut-off sleeves from his brand Drew House, a rolled neon-pink beanie (that could possibly be the same one he wore to the 2022 Grammys), and maybe the baggiest pair of jeans you have ever seen, also by Drew House, which he wore belted at his hips. At moments, the ill-inseamed length of Justin’s pant legs appeared to swallow his sneaker-shod feet entirely; as the paparazzi show, the couple paused several times for Justin to readjust his whole situation.
Admittedly, Hailey’s washed-out Levi’s 501s hardly held a “Peaches”-scented candle to the denim garment that enveloped her husband’s legs and lower torso. But Hailey’s her off-duty, slightly-more-boyish-than-usual look here synced with Justin’s run-of-the-mill, about-as-boyish-as-usual outfit. She paired her slightly slouchy jeans with a red, white, and blue striped Loewe polo sweater, slick sunglasses, and a black leather bomber jacket. As the couple walked with their arms linked, she held a little ruched leather Miu Miu handbag in her other hand. The Biebers were in balance, at last.
