Justin Bieber’s shitposting on Instagram may have just gone too far, at least, that’s what some fans are saying. Overnight, Hailey Bieber’s Vogue cover was released, with the Rhode founder pictured underneath a shower of water, wearing an oversized striped shirt.
According to to the digital cover story, “Hailey Bieber is shutting out the noise—and finding her bliss”. Except, perhaps she isn’t feeling so blissful this morning, after her husband swung a backhanded compliment her way and reignited the ever-present humours that Hailey and Justin’s relationship isn’t as peachy as it appears on Instagram. Always the supportive husband, Justin posted the cover to his own page, but in a now-edited caption, he celebrated her cover by revealing the details of a previous fight they’d had about the topic.
“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight; I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean,” he wrote on Instagram. “For some reason because I felt so disrespected; I thought I gotta get even..
“I think as we mature we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even; we’re honestly just prolonging what we really want which is intimacy and connection. So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.”
Shortly after posting, Justin changed the caption to be just a series of emojis. Now, if my husband decided to air our previous fights on Instagram and misuse the term “sadly mistaken”, which (we assume accidentally) alluded to him not being thrilled about her Vogue cover, I’d probably make him change the caption too.
This seems to be the sentiment online, at least by some, as fans are pretty divided over Justin’s original caption. One comment that captures the mood of the room pretty accurately was simply, “I love you Justin but what the fuck 
”.
Another commenter who has garnered thousands of likes wrote, “People think relationships are perfect and that there are no arguments, he was honest and everything is fine. Be happy, and let JB be happy. Who has never had a bad fight with their partner?”. Others argue that these aspects of a relationships are best kept private, and of course, there will always be fans who use anything Justin posts about Hailey as an excuse to cast doubt on the strength of their relationship.
Justin is a prolific Instagram poster, and in just the past week, he’s posted 37 times. Posts teasing his upcoming line, Skylrk, date night with Hailey, videos of him playing the drums, and a photo of his son Jack Blues have all featured on his feed. But for what it’s worth, Justin and Hailey seem really happy otherwise, This week Justin shared multiple photos of them attending multiple hockey games in support of his home team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. This also comes amid Justin Bieber releasing a statement about Diddy’s victims.
In the Vogue feature, Justin also shared, “I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life,” he writes to me by email, “but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey”. He also openly supported the announcement that Rhode is going to Sephora in the US, adding the caption “damn I know u been excited for this babesss”.
Our guess is that this was an innocent misstep by Justin, but if we were Hailey, we’d probably be pretty frustrated ourselves.
