And now, for a celebrity couple story we didn’t see coming. Rumours are swirling that recently divorced Katy Perry and ex-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are dating after the pair were spotted dining out in Montreal.
Perry recently split from his partner of nine years, Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau and his ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, divorced in 2023.

The long lenses of TMZ are a little like the eye of Sauron in celebrity land, and the ex-PM and singer, who recently wrapped her Lifetime tour in Australia, had no hope of dining privately.
TMZ captured them dining at the exclusive restaurant Le Violon, where they sipped cocktails and dined on lobster and tuna. They seemed deep in conversation with the recently single Perry playing with her hair (get it girl) and laughing.

The pair thanked the kitchen staff and chef personally after the meal. Nice!
More evidence that this was a “more than friends” date? The pair were photographed walking Perry’s adorable teacup poodle Nugget in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park before their dinner. Dinner is a first date activity, but we all know walking your dog together is just short of an engagement, even more romantic? Justin’s security trail accompanied them. After the sojourn, Nugget was dropped at the Ritz-Carlton, and the pair changed and headed on their date.

So, do we have a confirmed couple on our hands? Perry’s split from husband of nine years, Orlando Bloom, was less than two months ago, and the pair seem to be remaining close. Bloom was spotted in Perth supporting Perry during the tour, and the exes have been photographed with their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, since the split.
If Katy is already involved in a fresh romance, we suspect she’ll do her best to keep things under wraps but we think they make a cute couple.
