Visits: 29

Tonight’s CFDA Fashion Awards promise to be an exuberant celebration of American fashion, especially because this year marks the 60th anniversary of the organization. Among the icons that have made indelible marks on the industry being honored are the stylist Patti Wilson, who will receive the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard, and Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark of Chrome Hearts, who are picking up the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. The fashion designer Jeffrey Banks, who started his career in the 1970s working as an assistant to Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein before launching his namesake menswear label, is receiving a Special Anniversary Award, while a posthumous Board of Trustees Award will go to Virgil Abloh, who died last November.

A landmark anniversary is also an invitation to envision a better future, and the CFDA is celebrating many who are pushing the industry forward, including The House of Slay’s Prabal Gurung, Laura Kim, Phillip Lim, Tina Leung, and Ezra William, who will be presented with the Positive Social Influence Award. We’ll be updating you in real-time throughout the evening with all the winners, so don’t forget to check back in here for updates.
