Maria Grazia Chiuri is leaving Dior after a decade
[instagram-oembed url=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DKO7wwIskOV/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==” /] Today marks the end of an era at Dior: Their first female designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri, announced that she is leaving her position as the Creative Director of women’s collections. After months of rumours, this announcement doesn’t come as a huge shock, but the next question on everyone’s mind is: Will Jonathan Anderson be the one to take her place? He did, after all, just become Dior’s new menswear designer. We’ll have to wait and see, but regardless, Chiuri will always be remembered for her distinctive feminist lens, dedication to craft and, of course, giving the world the Dior Book Tote. “After nine years, I am leaving Dior, delighted to have been given this extraordinary opportunity,” she said in a statement. “Together, we have written an impactful chapter of which I am immensely proud.” [cta affiliate=”skimlinks” align=”center” format=”button” url=”https://www.dior.com/en_ca/fashion”]Learn More[/cta]
