It’s time to partay, as in, the holiday season is here, and I (ahem, like many of us) could use some extra cheer. It’s been a crazy year, but the wind down is always my favorite time to reflect on things, make notes of what I want to achieve in the new year, and cherish moments with friends and family—especially as we gather around holiday celebrations. Of course, this also means holiday fashion, which is my favorite type of fashion given that it’s all about the glitz and glam. Fun!
It’s still a bit early for me to think about my festive ensembles—I’m a pretty last-minute-type-for-girl—but Martha Stewart just did what she does best (inspire!). She recently showed up in a party ‘fit that I need from head to toe, but mostly toe because I’m officially head over heels for her heels that are a no-brainer for holiday season (nay, any party).
Stewart attended a party celebrating her 100th cookbook release, a pretty iconic moment that absolutely deserves a party (and a trophy!). In fact, she pretty much looked like one in a metallic ‘fit that included a gold coat, matching pants, and shiny, metallic shoes that I need ASAP.

While I love everything about Stewart’s look, shoes generally get me rally excited, especially when they’re as good (and relevant) as hers. Metallic shoes have been trending for a while now, and we’ve seen the sheen on a slew of styles, from ballet flats to boots. But, it’s undeniable that Stewat’s break-your-ankle, high-impact platform heels are the sexiest out there and the most perfect to pair with all your holiday dresses. Because if there’s one thing that says you're ready to party, it’s metallic platforms.
Style the Stewart-inspired shoes with everything from a LBD and chunky, gold jewelry to head-to-toe red. You can also make like the mogul herself and wear all-gold (or all-silver) to really make a shining statement. The best part? Metallic platforms can be worn way past the holiday parties, too, and I’m already excited to wear my incoming pairs with cropped jeans and cute, frilly socks.
