Olivia Culpo is pregnant with her first baby.
The news comes just eight months after she and NFL player Christian McCaffrey wed in a lavish Rhode Island ceremony, drawing the eyes – and opinion – of many of her 5.5 million followers.
The former Miss Universe announced the pregnancy along with a black-and-white post captioned “next chapter, motherhood”, where she’s pictured wearing a draped white gown.
In a subsequent video, the couple shared a behind-the-scenes look at the portrait shoot, with candid footage that showed her and McCaffrey celebrating the news together.
Culpo had previously expressed her eagerness to start a family in the lead up to her wedding, sharing a tongue-in-cheek video to her TikTok followers where she joked: “I feel like the day after my wedding, I’m just gonna rip out my IUD and start trying immediately.”
While the news that Olivia Culpo is pregnant comes as a surprise to many, the model sparked rumours in late October after she shared a photo of McCaffrey with his hand on her stomach.
Speaking with People magazine in response to the speculation, Culpo’s sister Sophia spoke about her sister’s post-wedding priorities, hinting at the news to come.
“I know she’s going to be a really loving mother. I know that she’s going to be very prepared. I think she’s going to have everything in place,” she said of her sister’s penchant for perfectionism.
“Probably already picking out her children’s preschool. At the moment she’s probably already on the waitlist.”
