Congratulations are in order for Pete Davidson and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, who have announced they’re expecting their first child.
Hewitt, 29, made a playful announcement on Instagram on July 16. “Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” she captioned the carousel post, which featured footage of an ultrasound appointment.
The post also featured a shirtless picture of Davidson, 31, holding Elsie’s stomach, some outdoor photos of the couple and a shot of the two enjoying a night in with face masks.
Davidson and Hewitt went public with their relationship in March 2025, when they were spotted enjoying a day at the beach in Palm Beach, Florida.
At the time, a source told Page Six that the couple were endeavouring to keep things low-key. “[Hewitt] respects Pete and his desire for privacy,” the source told the publication, sharing that Davidson’s mum and sister “approve of the relationship and love seeing Pete so happy.”
Hewitt soft-launched their relationship later that month when she posted a video of Davidson in a white bathrobe to her Instagram. Two months later, People confirmed the couple had moved in together. “Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months,” a source told the publication. “They’re splitting their time between Pete’s house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn. They’re so happy together and doing great.”

That month, they made their first official public appearance at the 13th Annual Blossom Ball in New York City.
Davidson has had several high-profile relationships, including with Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian. In February 2025, he made fun of his reputation as a professional boyfriend for up-and-coming Hollywood It-girls following his split with I Know What You Did Last Summer actor Madelyn Cline. In the ad for popular women’s clothing wear brand Reformation, he appeared as the brand’s Perfect Boyfriend 
– always ready to look at your outfit and bring you a matcha as you try on clothes. While he was happy to poke fun at himself, he said he had been frustrated that his high-profile romances were overshadowing his career that same month. “It was pretty humiliating and upsetting, honestly,” he told Page Six. “It’s embarrassing because you want people to write about your work. I was one of the youngest-ever cast members on SNL, and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”
While he’s been linked to Margaret Qualley, Phoebe Dynevor, Emily Ratajkowski, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kate Beckinsale, Davidson has expressed a desire to settle down. On Kevin Hart’s talk show in 2022, the Saturday Night Live comedian shared how eager he was to start a family, sharing it was a motivation for overcoming mental health challenges he’s experienced. “My favourite thing ever, which I’m yet to achieve, is I wanna have a kid,” he said. “It’s super corny, but it would be so fun to dress up a little dude,” he continued. “I’m so excited for that chapter, so that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is trying to be like good as a dude and develop and get better so when that happens, it’s just easier.”
