Renewcell strikes deal with Eastman

STOCKHOLM – Swedish textile recycler Renewcell has secured a deal with US fibre producer Eastman in what it describes as an “important step in developing the first acetate-based applications to use Circulose feedstock”.

The company’s innovative material is to be used in the production of Eastman’s Naia Renew yarns, which are typically manufactured using from wood pulp derived only from sustainably managed forestry, with suppliers either FSC or PEFC Chain of Custody certified.

“This agreement signals an acceleration of our joint efforts to bring Naia Renew yarns derived from Circulose to market. I look forward to working alongside Eastman in making fashion circular,” commented Patrik Lundström, Renewcell’s chief executive.
