See Who Rolled Through GQ and Levi’s Epic Paris Fashion Week Party

Visits: 25

In June of 2018, GQ global editorial director Will Welch called up DJ Acyde. It was nearing the end of Paris Fashion Week Men’s, and the energy in the City Of Light was crackling. Virgil Abloh had just debuted at Louis Vuitton, and Kim Jones had unveiled his first collection for Dior Men’s. A bunch of PFW rookies followed up with epic shows of their own. The message was crystal clear: menswear was the most exciting thing in fashion. So GQ took over L’Avenue that Friday night for a rocking house party, featuring a monster set by Acyde (including a late-late-late night duo set alongside Virgil himself) and good vibes courtesy of the week’s biggest stars. Every season since, when we’re in Paris, we call up Acyde and Tremaine Emory and shut down L’Avenue for a Friday night hang with our extended Parisian community. This time around, the night kicked off with drinks by Belvedere Vodka and a set by DJ Honey before Acyde and Tremaine got behind the decks. Tremaine, who founded Denim Tears, teamed up with Levi’s to design a custom Levi’s x Denim Tears trucker jacket for the event. Only 250 were made, and they were scooped up at the end of the night by guests like Victor Cruz, Matt Healy, Luka Sabbat, Lil Dre, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Ghali, Noah Beck, Westside Gunn, and many more GQ friends and collaborators. Scroll down to tap into the scene and peep the custom jacket; if you see someone wearing one out in the wild, you’ll know how they closed out their Paris Fashion Week this season.
