‘Textile Youth Carnival 2.1’ held to show career paths to fresh blood

At a time when the world is searching for a way out of the Corona catastrophe with all its resources, On 1st January 2021, a group of talented people participated in the Textile Engineers Society’s initiative “Textile Youth Carnival 2.1” at Uttara to awaken the light of knowledge and spread it among the thirsty for knowledge in a new way.

The event occurred with the spontaneous participation of nearly a hundred students from the country’s top textile institutes. The event was organized with a focus on a variety of educational activities, including sharing work experiences, exchanging knowledge, learning outcomes, and making communication in the workplace through friendly behavior among team members on each campus.

During the event as Chief Guest, Engr. S.M. Abdur Rahman General Manager (Operation), Unifill Tex BD Group attended the program. As Keynote Speaker, Tareq Amin Founder & CEO, Textile Today, gave his precious speech at the event. As special guests, Zahidul Haque Deputy General Manager-Human Resource Department Noman Terry Towel Mills Ltd., Noman Group and Shawkat Hossain Sohel, Manager (CAD) Unifill Composite Dyeing Mills Ltd. embellished the whole program. Textile Today was one of the sponsors of the program.

The program was presided by Md. Rifatur Rahman Miazee, Founder of Textile Engineers Society by giving his greetings. Career seminars are also organized with the guests having the aim of building a successful career. The guests gave important directions during the seminar.

Engr. S.M. Abdur Rahman said that no matter what the situation, we have to go ahead with our work, we have to prepare ourselves for the future without getting frustrated, and we have to take the challenge.

Tareq Amin emphasized youth career. In his speech, he highlighted that one has to find solutions to problems and move towards success with good aspects. We have to look at life before looking at our careers. We must purposefully build our careers keeping harmony with life. He also focuses on skill.

Zahidul Haque said that the textile sector is moving forward at an unstoppable pace to build a highly prosperous future. We must be positive about ourselves. Skill development is necessary to survive in the competition. We must have theoretical knowledge to be successful in working life. To build a successful career, we have to build communication with job profile-seniors. Basic things have to be given importance. The entrance has to be taken seriously.

Besides giving a greeting speech, Shawkat Hossain Sohel also gave some life-giving advice on all-over printing. Md Rifatur Rahman Miazee said, “Our young generation must remain steadfast in the strong position towards skill development. In this way, we will be able to move forward on the path of a better future.”

Quiz competitions were held to maintain the excitement among the students present during the event. Along with that, a delightful cultural program was conducted throughout the day in which recitation of poems, songs, and dances were notable. Certificates are distributed among all those present at the event, which will encourage them to touch the ladder of future success. In this organized fair, the close bond of brotherhood is revealed; the noble aspect of cooperation is felt.
