The Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Chloë Sevigny, and More

Visits: 15

If there’s one running thread through this week’s best fashion Instagrams, it would be pop stars embracing their playful side. First up, Megan Thee Stallion took the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo by storm. The musician wore a joyous outfit that paid homage to the beloved Japanese anime character Sailor Moon, complete with a Sailor Scout uniform, space buns, and light-up nails. (As a fully-paid up fan of cosplay—she also wore a look inspired by a Mortal Kombat character for Halloween in 2020—Megan appeared to be having the time of her life on the trip, also stopping by Super Nintendo World to play real-life Mario Kart.)

Next, Billie Eilish was spotted in a look that perfectly balanced her goth-inflected leanings with the sleeker styles she’s been experimenting with lately, wearing a black silk slip dress with a lace detail while making a stop on her Happier Than Ever tour in Singapore. Eilish being Eilish, however, she put her own, off-kilter twist on the look, styling it with a pair of chunky moon boots and a matching black newsboy cap.

Finally, Dua Lipa has been celebrating her birthday in the highest of style this week in Ibiza—and posting an endless stream of killer looks throughout the celebrations. There have been fresh-off-the-runway fits (a glittering Marc Jacobs bralette and oversized skirt, for example, or a barely-there Mugler mesh dress) as well as a few fashion deep cuts, including a form-fitting Thierry Mugler leather gown with flame details and a denim bikini and sarong from John Galliano’s spring 2000 collection for Dior

But the freshest fit of all? That would be the strappy, cut-out swimsuit featuring a lime green tropical print she wore for a boat trip with friends, designed by one of Lipa’s perennial favorites, the cult London brand Chopova Lowena. It simply doesn’t get more summery than that.
