March is a funny time of year. You’re finally on top of your inbox, your new year catch-ups are squared away, and, if you work in corporate, you’re starting to hear the dreaded rumblings of “Q2”.Then, just when you’ve convinced yourself you have it together, a cool snap arrives to remind you otherwise — and suddenly you’re rummaging through the back of the wardrobe as you’ve never experienced a degree Celsius below 27 before.
This month’s editor’s picks reflect exactly that shift in priorities across fashion and beauty. There’s a hydrating gel concealer that glides over dry patches, a nourishing French milk toner to carry your complexion through the cooler months ahead, and a cashmere jumper that earns its keep the moment the temperature drops. And yes, there’s a CBK-inspired skirt in the mix — we’ve been deep in American Love Story and we make no apologies.
Below, find what we’ve been shopping and eyeing off this March.

Violette_Fr Boum Boum Milk

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing makeup artist and Violette_Fr founder Violette Serrat, and as a huge fan of her brand, I was desperate to know which products she swears by in her own routine. Her response was swift: Boum Boum Milk. So, I dutifully added it to my own skincare routine and have been thrilled with the early results. It’s more lightweight than some of the other milky toners and mists I’ve used and after one week of diligent use, my skin is softer, glowier, and feels more stable (which I’m hoping will continue as the temperatures drop).
Radical Yes Petite Palais Buckle Shoe

I have had a ballet flat-shaped hole in my life since my beloved pair were officially worn through a few months ago and I’m thrilled to report I’ve found their replacement. I have it on good authority that the Radical Yes Petite Palais Buckle Shoes will quickly become the comfiest pair I own, and with a funky asymmetrical toe and oversized buckle detail, I think they’ll add just enough interest to my outfits without making too big of a statement.
COS Chunky Cashmere Sweater

As a certified Winter Person, I have been counting down the days to cooler weather since November. Now that we seem to be edging towards some relief, I’m finally giving in to the many glowing testimonials I’ve seen for the chunky cashmere sweaters from COS. I just know this will be in heavy rotation for years to come.
Bonds Bases Flex Lace Bralette

One thing about me is, if I can get away with skipping an underwire bra, I absolutely will. Currently, I have my eye on the Bases Flex Lace Bralette from Bonds, which is affordable (just $17.99 on sale, currently), available in three colours (black, blush, and coral), and made from a four-way stretch fabric that will move with me through the day. It also has a gorgeous lace detailing, making it feel a little bit special.

Aman Amethyst Bath and Shower Oil

I was lucky enough to discover this brand during a treatment at MECCA George Street, and now that the weather has (finally) turned, I’ve been cracking it out on rotation. Every product in the Aman line is built around an aromatherapeutic intention — this one is for grounding, which makes it the perfect bookend to my day. The scent alone (sandalwood, jasmine, cedarwood) is enough to make your bathroom feel like an overwater villa, but the formula pulls its weight too: evening primrose oil delivers a hit of omega-6 for deep hydration, and actual amethyst powder helps cleanse and polish skin. If you’re shopping for a Mother’s Day gift that feels genuinely luxurious rather than just expensive, this is it.
K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo

I’ll be honest, a dry shampoo that goes on wet for $80+ had me sceptical, felt like a hard sell for me, but I’d heard so much hype about the K18 dry shampoo, I caved. Consider me thoroughly convinced. I have fine hair and a lot of it, and often feel like washing and blow-drying my hair takes up half my week (oily scalp girl, what can I say). K18’s non-aerosol AirWash applies as a liquid, dries down fast, and uses patented biotechnology to actually eliminate odour rather than mask it — post-gym included. The result lasts up to three days, with no white cast or the feeling that your hair is full of dry cement. With this I’ve cut down to washing my hair twice a week from the cripplying four or five times. It’s a miracle product, and given how far the bottle stretches and how much time it saves me, well worth every cent.
Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Concealer

I’ve finally scraped the bottom of my beloved Clé de Peau concealer, so I was in the market for another one when Milk launched its Hydro Grip Concealer. I’m obsessed with the Hydro Grip Skin Tint convert, so when Milk launched a concealer in the same franchise, it was never a question of if, just when. The innovative gel-to-cream glides over fine lines and dry patches with a believable skin-like finish that doesn’t crease, cake or settle.
My under-eyes stay hydrated (thanks to triple-powered hyaluronic acid and squalane), blemishes disappear without looking patched-over, and my skin never feels dry. Stunning!
Nike, Zenvy Strappy Women’s Light Support Padded Sports Bra

I am a Pilates princess year-round and always appreciate a bra that is supportive without feeling like my breasts are being crushed to my chest. This sports bra from Nike is true to its name, providing just enough support for pilates and yoga and ultra soft and stretchy for maximum comfort. The sewn-in padding offers nice shape, support and coverage, love!

Neil Vernon, Kaia Long Sleeve in Milk

I am absolutely in love with the brand By Neil Vernon, and this white shirt is at the top of my wish list. I spotted someone wearing when I was in Melbourne for Formula 1 and it looked so flattering, I just love the wide sleeves.
Style Addict, Celine Skirt in Tan

Like everyone else, I am obsessed with midi skirts at the moment, and I am particularly looking for pieces that are transeasonal and fit into my work wardrobe as well as everyday life. This skirt is it!
Heaven Mayhem, Laptop Sleeve

It’s getting to that time where I need to update my laptop case. I want something that is stylish but also well made, and this laptop case from Heaven Mayhem taps my leopard print obsession.
