This year’s Fashion Awards marked a year of firsts. Held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, last night’s ceremony was the first held under Laura Weir’s leadership as the British Fashion Council’s newly-appointed CEO. It also marked the long-awaited victory of Anok Yai, who was finally named Model of the Year. Still, there are some things about The Fashion Awards that have remained unchanged. Jonathan Anderson scooped the Designer of the Year award for the third consecutive year, this time for his work at Dior. Grace Wales Bonner, who now helms menswear at Hermès, was also named British Menswear Designer for the second time. And then, there are the red carpet looks, which are always worth looking forward to. This year’s Fashion Awards red carpet did not disappoint.
