The sandals I am wearing to the first day of London Fashion Week will definitely not please everyone. They are the ultimate “ugly” shoe, with a thick spongey sole, oversized straps that are covered with a sparkly navy and silver bouclé and little metal stud fastenings that are fashioned into eagles (yes, really). They are a tweed pair of sliders, if you will—the ultimate yet unexpected option for when we’re bridging two seasons.
The reactions I have had to these shoes so far have been polarising: Two friends have bought them while others have said things far too extreme to write down here. However, it would appear that fashion editors are in agreement: Kurt Geiger London’s Orson sandals are a great—if totally wild card—buy.
