Living in New York City, it’s pretty standard to get in 10,000 steps before you grab your second cup of coffee (no, that’s not an exaggeration). I personally also love walking, and living near Central Park gives me the perfect excuse to get in those steps while also getting in my daily dose of #nature. All in all, I tend to surpass 20,000 steps daily, so it’s pretty clear I need shoes meant to get some miles. But, it’s a sad fact that not all are suitable for this—something I learned the hard (err, painful) way. However, I found an easy—albeit unsexy—hack that pretty much transforms any shoe into one that feels like you’re walking on clouds.

I’ve waxed poetic about it before, and if you said, “Eva, you’re talking about Fulton’s insoles!,” ding, ding, ding—you’re correct. As a 31-year-old, I never thought insoles would be a part of my vocabulary, but boy have I been proven wrong. In fact, I’ve actually been relying on the inserts for years, and now I’m propelled to praise them again, as they’re on sale for InStyle readers only during our exclusive InSider Sale. All you have to do is use the code INSIDER25 at checkout to save 25 percent sitewide. So, stock up just in time for summer season (a.k.a., walking season).

Insoles, if well designed, have the power to change the way even the most uncomfy pair of shoes can feel on your feet. And no, you’re never too young to call on insoles, either—so, cut the crap. Fulton’s, which are podiatrist designed, are crafted from a custom molding technology that shapes to your unique foot—and shoe. The brand recommends putting an insole into a single pair, and wearing said shoe for about 30 miles to ensure proper shaping to your body, heels, and arches. Trust me: Spend the time doing this and you’ll be so thankful. The insoles will certainly deliver on their promise to eliminate foot, back, and knee pain, as well as help with plantar fasciitis, achilles tendinitis, and Morton's neuroma (I don’t have the latter, but foot and back pain used to be a common thing for me, until I started incorporating Fulton’s insoles into my routine.)

Fulton also has three variations of insoles: the classic, the athletic, and the universal. I’ve tried them all—and for their respective footwear, and I can attest they deliver. The classic option is meant for everyday shoes with removable insoles (think: boots and sneakers); the athletic, which help alleviate common running injuries, work best with athletic sneakers and hiking boots; and the universal insole is compatible with practically any shoe, even if it doesn’t come with removable insoles.

If you’re done dealing with aches and pains and want comfort, support, and peace of mind when walking around for miles, you need to try Fulton’s insoles. At $36 a pop with our exclusive code, there really is no better time than now. Plus, I know you have summer travels coming up, and these are going to be total game changers for your sightseeing activities. Trust me. Don’t forget to use the code INSIDER25 at checkout.
