The government of Bangladesh has initiatives to recognize the contribution of the industrial sector to the national economy, create incentives and encourage creativity. The President’s Industrial Development Award was given for the implementation of this initiative. 20 industries including Runner Automobiles Limited, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited are going to get this award for 2020.
On 10th August, the Ministry of Industries issued a communique in this regard. It is said that, according to the guidelines related to the President’s Industrial Development Award 2013, twenty industrial establishments in six categories have been selected for the President’s Industrial Development Award 2020 for setting up industries in the private sector, creating employment and making significant contributions to the country’s economy.
A total of four companies have been announced in the first, second and third positions in the large industry category. Runner Automobiles Limited and Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited are jointly awarded the first position. Two institutions are awarded jointly in the second position as well. Along with BRB Cable Industries, another company selected for the second position is Fariha Spinning Mills Limited. The company selected for the award in the large category is Envoy Textiles Limited.
The company selected for the first position in the medium industry category is Noman Terry Towel Mills Limited. The two organizations are jointly awarded the second position. APS Design Works Limited is another company in the second position in the medium category along with Mascotex Limited. Bengal Polymer Wires and Aco-Tex Limited were jointly selected for the third position.
Masco Overseas Limited is the first position company selected for the award in the small-scale industry category. The two companies jointly selected for the second position are Abdul Jalil Limited and Pacific Sea Foods Limited. Madhavadi Dyeing Finishing Mills Ltd. has been selected for the third position in the small-scale industry category.
The company selected for the first position in the micro industry category is Masco Dairy Enterprise. Only one organization is going to get the award in this category. Two organizations will receive awards in the cottage industry category. The organization selected for the first position is Intelligent Card Limited and the organization selected for the second position is Rang Mela Nari Kalyan Sanstha (RNKS).
The company selected for the first position in the Hi-Tech industry category is Fair Electronics Limited. The company selected for the second position is Mir Telecom Limited and the company selected for the third position is Service Engine Limited.
