In a fashion world currently overflowing with beige, Victoria Beckham is fast becoming the queen of interesting colour combinations. Don’t get me wrong—we love a tonal look here at Who What Wear UK, but VB’s current New York wardrobe is refreshing, to say the least. Our favourite Spice Girl stepped out yesterday for an appearance on The Today Show in a red and purple outfit—straight off her autumn/winter catwalk, which we thought was brave enough. Never one to play it safe, she then followed it with another look adding blue to the mix. It shouldn’t work, but it just does.
We’re always big fans of Victoria’s style choices, but we especially love it when she showcases just how good her own designs are (there’s definitely a lesson in taking pride in what you do to be learnt from her). From what we’ve seen of her most recent collection, the designer is loving an unexpected colour combo and it’s something she continued into her spring/summer 2020 show last month—meaning clashing colours is a trend that’s sticking around. Red, blue and purple is obviously her current colour crush in order to brighten up her autumn wardrobe, and we’re on board. The best news is that you can already shop her first look, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on the second ensemble.
