THE RUNDOWN:
- Emily in Paris season five will premiere on Netflix on December 18, 2025
- Netflix has released the first-look photos for season five
- Camille Razat is not returning to Emily in Paris
Not only do we finally have a release date for the fifth season of Emily in Paris, but we now have our first look at what a season without Camille looks like. Overnight, Netflix released a series of images from the season that show Lily Collins‘ Emily doing all the things we know and love her for: gallivanting, walking arm in arm with a gorgeous man, and hustling.

As expected, Emily will return this season with her signature look, which consists of a sleek bob, and endless outfits consisting of playful and bold clashing prints. But beyond the fashion moments, the photos hint at big shifts for Emily’s personal and professional life; most notably, the absence of her long-time friend and often rival, Camille.

Camille Razat, who has played Camille since the show’s debut in 2020, confirmed earlier this year that she won’t be returning for the fifth season of the hit series. In a statement, the French actor said her character’s journey had “naturally come to an end” and that it was the right moment to move on. “It felt like the right moment to explore new horizons,” Razat wrote. “I leave the show with nothing but love and admiration for the cast, crew, and fans who have supported us along the way. Thank you for the beautiful ride .”
It’s a departure that leaves a noticeable gap in the series, given Camille’s central role in the Emily-Gabriel love triangle that has driven much of the show’s drama. Off screen, Razat is focusing on new projects, including her own production company and a slate of upcoming series.

The new season, which takes Emily from Paris to Rome and Venice, looks set to give us even more reasons to consider a move overseas. Professionally, she’s leading Agence Grateau’s expansion into Italy, while seeming to fall for her new love interest Marcello, played by Eugenio Franceschini. Based on the first-look images, we can expect plenty of romance this season, with country horse rides, balcony kisses, and walking arm in arm in romantic European cities.

But with Gabriel also featuring in the images, we expect there to be a new love triangle unfolding this season. We just hope Alfie comes out unscathed amongst it all.

Creator Darren Star has teased that season five will tackle the fallout from Emily’s choices at work and in love, with a “scheme gone wrong” testing her relationships.
Season five of Emily in Paris lands on Netflix on December 18, 2025.
