Why Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck Are “Closer Than They’ve Ever Been” After His Divorce

The former spouses have been solid as a rock in recent weeks.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have settled their divorce, leaving fans of their former relationship wondering how they've been coping in light of it's highly publicized end. Thanks to a new Page Six report, Affleck has been receiving a lot of emotional support from his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and as a result have been able to forge a tight bond.

The source revealed that Affleck and Garner have been “spending more time together than ever since they divorced,” and “are closer than they’ve ever been since their divorce.”

The former married couple has also been more of a unit in recent weeks, in part due to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. “Particularly since Ben’s divorce from Jennifer [Lopez] and with the LA fires and everything going on,” the source added that Affleck and Garner “have found themselves leaning on each other more than ever” the insider says.

It's common for exes to not get along, but in the case of the Alias star and the Good Will Hunting actor, “They really do have a close bond,” especially when it comes to co-parenting their three children, Violet, Fin and Samuel. The parents “know not all exes get along as well and they feel very grateful that they have such an amazing relationship.”

It hasn't always been smooth sailing for the couple, though—“Things between Ben and Jen were understandably rocky for a little while when they first divorced,” the source told the outlet. “They shared custody and were amicable when it came to situations involving their kids but over the years they’ve really built a close friendship and are on the same page in a lot of ways.”

Now, Affleck and Garner “feel like it’s only in everyone’s benefit involved to have a good relationship including themselves and their kids.”
