What a week it has been for Swifties. In just a few days, Taylor Swift has given us more airtime than we’ve had in months: cryptic countdowns, an intimate two-hour conversation on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, and the reveal of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It’s the kind of cultural flurry that could fuel fan discourse for months.
And yet, amid the dissections of track list names, cover art symbolism, and the endlessly charming back-and-forth between Taylor, Travis, and Jason Kelce, one question eclipses the rest: will she tour it? On paper, the answer feels obvious. With a title like The Life of a Showgirl, the theatrical possibilities are endless. Swift has always been a master of world-building, and this album all but begs for a stage — one draped in feathers, sequins, and the kind of narrative arc only she can pull off.

If history is any indication, before the Eras Tour, Swift’s last full-scale tour was Reputation. The album dropped on November 10, 2017. The tour was announced just three days later and officially kicked off six months on, in May 2018. But following the juggernaut that was the Eras Tour, will Taylor want to take on the road again so soon?
Speaking to Travis and Jason Kelce on the New Heights podcast, she described the gruelling demands of its 21-month run. “It was a lot of physical therapy and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort,” she told the Kelce brothers, likening it to the rigours of an NFL season. “I’m not getting hit by huge 300-pounders, but the heels for that long…” she laughed. Travis revealed she maintained a full “recovery station” in her hotel room, complete with toe spacers, while she added, “I got an acupuncture mat.”
Still, the hints are there. Several of Taylor’s Eras Tour dancers have commented on Taylor Nation’s TS12 announcement post, sparking hope that rehearsals may already be underway. She’s also curated a playlist with Max Martin and Shellback, the hitmaking duo behind some of her biggest pop anthems, hinting at stadium-ready production.

If she does take The Life of a Showgirl on the road, 2026 feels like the most likely year. Fans are already speculating about the live debut of Female Rage: The Musical, a theatrical segment teased during the Eras Tour. Following past patterns, Australian stadium shows would likely fall between November and February.
And if you were part of the scramble for Eras Tour tickets, you already know how hard it can be. Patience, persistence and a little luck will be essential and the race could begin sooner than you think.
