APR gets C2C Certified Material Health Certificate

Recently, APR’s viscose staple fiber has been awarded the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certified Material Health Certificate at the Silver level from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute.

The award proves that 100% of the chemical substances used in Asia Pacific Rayon fiber production, and meet the Institute’s strict criteria set out in the material health certificate standard.

“Consumers have the right to expect the fibers used in their daily lives to deliver when it comes to maternal health. Receiving the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute’s Silver Level Cradle to Cradle Certified Material Health Certificate is another positive step for APR in demonstrating the safe use of materials, that our products are circular and responsibly produces,” said Susan Slabbert, Head of Sustainability at APR.

At APR, they are committed to responsible manufacturing practices and ensuring the safety of their products for people and the environment.

For this, the C2C Material Health Certificate verifies that the chemicals and materials used in their products, which has no impact on human health and the environment and generate a positive impact on the quality of materials available for future use and cycling.

To achieve this certification, APR has been collaborated with Eco Intelligent Growth (EIG), an assessment body accredited by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute.

“The C2C product standard incentivizes environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing practices, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing,” she added.
