SYDNEY – Global transport operator Transdev has teamed up with textile reprocessing company BlockTexx to launch a uniform recycling programme for its Australian operations.
The trial programme, which is initially running at Transdev’s Sydney Light Rail system as well as bus operations in Sydney and Brisbane, will see old uniforms that would otherwise end up in landfill or being incinerated, recycled into a range of consumer and industrial products.
