Sure, I still follow the siblings of a few amicable exes, so we’re not calling this a smoking gun. But until the reunion airs, it’s one of the strongest clues we have that Alex and Eddy are still very much in each other’s lives.

The very same publication New Idea has reported that the couple have split and that the Brisbane relocation was a ruse to avoid spoilers for the series. One insider told the publication, “The plan was always to protect the ending,” adding, “everyone wanted viewers to believe they were still together.”

Heartbreakingly for fans of true love, Alex is reportedly nursing his wounds in Brisbane with family rather than setting up Brisbane’s first mushroom farm, and apparently he’s shattered.

“Alex genuinely thought this could work,” the insider added. “He’s taken the break-up really hard.” Is it true?
