Are Farmer Wants A Wife’s Dylan And Ally Still Together?

With another season of Farmer Wants a Wife officially wrapped, fans are naturally asking the ultimate post-show question: which farmers and their ladies are still together? The hit Australian reality TV series boasts a track record of 22 marriages and a dozen farm babies to speak to its success, but not all rural romances survive the jump from reel life to real life.

So, what about 2026’s favourite rollercoaster couple — 25-year-old South Australian sheep farmer and aspiring rodeo cowboy Dylan Scarborough and 23-year-old chocolate shop worker Ally Horsburgh?

While viewers watched them exchange emotional “I love yous” at the final decision, the Farmer Wants a Wife reunion proved that the honeymoon phase post-show proved short-lived. Here is where Dylan and Ally stand today.

Dylan And Ally’s Romance

To say Dylan and Ally had a rocky path to the final decision would be an understatement. From their very first meeting, the chemistry was crackling — but so was the drama.

Ally’s fiery temperament and eagerness for a family initially made Dylan who had his sights set on a rodeo career, uneasy. Meanwhile, he was also building a steady connection with runner-up and polo player Scarlett. Things hit a boiling point when Dylan brought intruder Keeley back to the farm and Ally made a dramatic exit, telling Dylan he would have to prove his affection by chasing her down. Dylan did chase her down, but the theatrics left him visibly rattled.

Fast-forward to the Black Tie dinner: Ally made a dramatic entrance while Dylan was on a date with Scarlett, leading to a passionate embrace in the hallway that proved their spark was far from extinguished.

In the finale, Dylan ultimately followed his gut and admitted his feelings were even deeper than viewers had realised. “This final decision has been made from my heart and what my gut tells me to do. I have to follow what I feel and I love you. I love you a lot,” Dylan confessed to Ally, choosing her over Scarlett.

Sadly for romantic purists, Farmer Dylan and Ally are no longer together.

While the pair tried to make things work after filming wrapped — with Ally spending two weeks on Dylan’s farm in South Australia — they officially called time on their relationship roughly a month after the cameras stopped rolling.

Speaking in an exclusive joint interview with Woman’s Day, Dylan confirmed he made the “disappointing” decision to end things as real life set back in.

“When filming finished and we were back into normal life, I spent a lot of time thinking about what the next few years would look like and I had to be honest with myself,” Dylan explained.

Between managing his farm duties and pursuing his dream of becoming a professional saddle bronc rider — a career path that requires near-constant travel — Dylan realised he wasn’t in a place to compromise.

“I wasn’t willing to compromise on the goals and dreams that I’m chasing. And I couldn’t ask Ally to compromise on the future that she wanted,” he admitted. “I didn’t think that was fair. Ally deserves someone who’s ready to build the sort of future she wants. Our lives were headed in different directions.”

Dylan took full accountability for getting swept up in the television romance, confessing: “I’m not proud of how things have ended up. Everyone calls me a man-child and they’re probably dead right… the farm kind of takes a back seat in your mind and you’re like, ‘Yeah, this can work,’ and then you’re back to reality.”

How Has Ally Responded To The Breakup?

For her part, 23-year-old Ally has handled the split with grace.

Ally revealed she was fully prepared to pack up her home in Maitland, NSW, and relocate to South Australia to build a life on the farm, but recognised that a relationship requires equal commitment from both sides.

“I was willing to reshape my life to join his, but I also realised I needed to feel chosen in return,” Ally told Woman’s Day. “I was making plans to move and build a home and make that life work.”

Despite the heartbreak, Ally harbours no resentment towards the young farmer and insists the two remain close friends.

“I’m disappointed that it didn’t work out, but just because a relationship has ended doesn’t mean it’s failed,” she shared. “Dylan’s kindness, humour, and generosity didn’t disappear when our romantic relationship ended. Sometimes the strongest connections are ones that evolve into friendship rather than end completely.”

Summarising her perspective on the experience, Ally added: “I want to learn to carry heartbreak without it carrying me.”

While fans may be disappointed that another Farmer romance didn’t result in a country wedding, both Dylan and Ally maintain they have no regrets — and remain each other’s biggest supporters as friends.
