I Thought This Boot Style Was Over—Until I Saw These

There was a time not so long ago when the It-item of a fashion girl’s winter wardrobe was a sleek pair of black over-the-knee boots. They were the hero item of almost every Saturday night outfit, and countless weekday looks consisted of some combination of a sweater, jeans, and said boots.

Recently though, the fashion tides have taken a turn in favor of shorter ankle boot styles, slouch boots, and this season knee-high boots are having a major moment (even Kate Middleton jumped on that train). Rarely have I seen street style photos that include a pair of OTK boots, which led me to believe this style was over.

But just when I thought I could safely say I was past this trend, one glorious pair of boots made me question everything I believed to be true. Ganni’s Nadine Boots are the spring 2019 answer to over-the-knee boots—combining the croc-embossed texture trend with a roomier body and wide mouth opening just above the knee. I first noticed the white colorway on Tiffany Hsu’s Instagram account, but Ganni just launched a new black-and-brown colorway and now I’m not sure which version I love more. Whether paired with a dress, jeans, or a skirt, this style feels particularly modern and directional. Keep scrolling to see how fashion girls are styling the Nadine Boots right now, then shop the pair for yourself and DM me here if you’d like to discuss this further.

This colorway just launched, and I’m in love.

These might be The One.

Let’s all just take a moment to appreciate these.

This low heel is killer.

The croc trend isn’t going anywhere—and always looks expensive.

The coolest iteration of cowboy boots, maybe ever.

Everyone, meet my dream ankle boots.

The white contrast stitching makes these stand out.

A little metallic never hurt anybody.

Okay, on second thought, maybe these are the coolest iteration of cowboy boots ever.

This chocolate brown color is so good.
