I have a soft spot for anything that makes the lead-up to Christmas feel a little more exciting, and beauty advent calendars are very high on that list.
There’s something deeply satisfying about opening a tiny door each morning to find a new lipstick, fragrance or skincare favourite waiting on the other side. Plus, we all know that beauty advent calendars offer some of the best value for money you can find all year. If you’re curious about a brand and want to try their best products without committing to a suite of full sizes, want to spoil your loved ones with luxury beauty minis this season or simply love the childlike joy the ritual of prizing open a new window each day brings, beauty advent calendars are the way to go.
But which are the best? As a beauty writer, I’ve had the fortune of inspecting and reviewing some of the best beauty advent calendars on the market, year in and year out (yes, there are perks to the job, and they peak at Christmas).

Traditionally, the Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar has been the biggest calendar launch of the holiday season, selling out within days of release. This year I also have my eye out for luxury advent calendars with sample sizes of the pricey skin, hair and makeup launches my friends and colleagues have been raving about all year. Both Selfridges and Harrods are offering calendars with Augustinus Bader skincare included (one even has a full-size eye cream), and Cult Beauty has an advent calendar featuring an eye-wateringly expensive dry shampoo that’s been the talk of the office but hasn’t yet made its way to my desk.
So, yes, while it might only be September, the waitlists are open, which means the race to snap up the best beauty advent calendars before they sell out is on. Below, I’ve rounded up the ones you need to know about this year, and I’ll be updating this list as they launch.

Harrods of London The Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar

Most advent calendars contain a maximum of 25 products, but Harrods has decided to raise the stakes with 32. I have my eye on this calendar because of the perfect mix of luxury makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance and two very impressive full-size inclusions. Firstly, we have coveted brands like Tatcha, La Prairie, Philip Kingsley and Gucci, and then there are luxury cult products like By Terry Tea To Tan Tanning Water (a must-try for people who struggle to find a natural-looking bronzer). If the impressive array of minis weren’t enough, they also include a full-size Augustinus Bader The Rich Eye Cream, which retails for $327 in Australia and a full-size of everyone’s favourite pinky-nude, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick. Harrods truly do know the meaning of Christmas.

The Body Shop Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar
Every year, The Body Shop releases an advent calendar packed with its most popular products, and this year’s Ultimate edition is the one I’d choose for anyone who likes a little bit of everything. It contains $464 worth of skincare, body care and haircare, with a generous mix of full and travel-sized products. There are nostalgic favourites like the Shea Body Butter and British Rose Shower Gel, but I’m most interested in the Camomile Cleansing Balm, which has long been one of the brand’s cult products, and the Vitamin C Glow Boost Moisturiser for tired, end-of-year skin. You’ll also find plenty of fun scents, from Satsuma and Strawberry to Passionfruit and Peppermint. With 25 products in total, it’s a very good way to rediscover old favourites while trying more of The Body Shop’s range without committing to everything individually.

Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar

Space NK is seriously delivering the goods this year. Of the 35 products inside, an impressive 26 are full-sized, with no repeats from its 2025 edition. I consider this the best all-round option on the list because it has every corner of your beauty routine covered, from skincare and makeup to haircare, body care and fragrance. The full-size Augustinus Bader Body Cream and Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum immediately caught my attention, but the makeup selection is just as tempting, with Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm, Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb in Fu$$y and the Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush. There are also cult hair products from K18 and Olaplex, plus fragrances from Phlur, D.S. & Durga and Gisou. With more than $2,200 worth of products inside, I’d say this is the calendar to buy if you want to be genuinely excited by every drawer you open.

Charlotte’s Hollywood Beauty Wonderland
Every year, Charlotte Tilbury releases an advent calendar to rival all advent calendars, and she definitely hasn’t disappointed this year. Inside are 15 makeup, skincare and beauty surprises, including four full-sized beauty products and two accessories. Naturally, my eyes went straight to the Pillow Talk products, particularly the full-size Beauty Light Wand and Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium, but the Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick in Rosy Glow is just as tempting. There are also travel sizes of Charlotte’s Magic Cream (an absolute staple in my makeup routine), AIRbrush Flawless Setting Spray and Collagen Superfusion Facial Oil, making it a particularly good choice if you have a holiday coming up. The mini makeup bag and white quartz gua sha are thoughtful extras, while the red-and-gold case can be reused as a jewellery box once everything has been opened.

Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar
Selfridges’ Beauty Advent Calendar is one of the best-value options I’ve seen this year. It contains 40 products worth $2,399, with an impressive 33 of them being full-sized. This particular calendar stands out because of its mix of luxury skincare from Augustinus Bader and Dr. Barbara Sturm and makeup from Gucci, Huda Beauty and Burberry. Then there’s a full-size Jo Malone London Peony & Blush Suede Cologne, a Phlur fragrance and even a Paddywax candle for some welcome variety. The inclusion of haircare, body care, nail products and a Selfridges Beauty Concierge appointment voucher also makes this feel more thoughtful than the usual collection of serums and lip products.

Counting down to Christmas feels a whole lot more exciting when you have 24 Jurlique products to unbox before the big day. The calendar is worth $460 and includes skincare, hand care, body care and wellbeing products, such as the Rosewater Balancing Mist, Herbal Recovery Face Oil and Nutri-Define Eye Balm. There’s also a selection of rose-scented hand and body products, all packaged inside a limited-edition keepsake box. Jurlique has always been one of my favourite brands when I’m craving some self-care, and their Rose Body Oil has been a staple in my routine for years now, so I’m feeling particularly giddy that it’s including amongst the already great selection of products.

P.Louise What Glows Around Beauty Advent Calendar

Last year, P.Louise’s advent calendar caused such a storm on TikTok that getting your hands on one felt like a Christmas miracle in itself. This year, the brand has somehow made the packaging even more extravagant, creating an illuminated carousel complete with a three-dimensional horse and a rotating interior that reveals each door. While I don’t know exactly what will be hiding behind them just yet, we do know there will be 25 full-sized products, including new formulas, shades, flavours and scents created especially for the calendar. Cute packaging and 25 products you can’t already buy from the brand? I’m not surprised it’s already high on my wish list, and I suspect you’ll want to pre-order this one quickly.

The Cult Beauty Advent Calendar Special Edition
This year, Cult Beauty has released not one but two advent calendars, both priced at $464, but the Special Edition is easily my favourite. Inside are 38 products, including 17 full-sized items, from brands like Westman Atelier, Patrick Ta, Sunday Riley, Kayali and Color Wow. The full-size Patrick Ta Major Headlines Blush Duo in She’s Giving immediately caught my attention, but it’s closely followed by the Saie Dew Blush in Chilly and Sunday Riley Tidal Serum. Makeup aside, I also like that the calendar covers almost every possible beauty craving, with skincare from Medik8 and Paula’s Choice, haircare from K18, Gisou and Davines and fragrances from Kayali and Kilian Paris. If all of that weren’t tempting enough, three calendars contain a Golden Ticket worth £1,000 (approximately AUD$1,877) in Cult Beauty credit. As though I needed another reason to justify buying it.

Then there are full-sized favourites like the Rêve de Miel Honey Lip Balm and Very Rose Face Scrub, plus the Prodigieux shampoo, conditioner and intensive repair mask. If your beauty routine could use a touch of Parisian pharmacy luxury, I can’t think of a better way to count down to Christmas.

P.Louise Cruising Home For Christmas Makeup & Beauty Advent Calendar
I had to include this P.Louise advent calendar even though it’s technically from last year, simply because it’s an icon in its own right. The products are hidden inside four battery-operated vehicles, and I can already picture how charming they would look parked beneath the Christmas tree or dotted around the house as festive décor. The contents are just as playful, with limited-edition makeup, skincare and accessories ranging from the 12-shade Passenger Princess Lipstick Palette to the Pitstop To Perfection Brush Set, which contains an impressive 10 brushes. I also have my eye on the Sorry I’m Late I Was All Tied Up Eyeshadow Palette, Cheek Of It Liquid Blushes and trio of lashes. It may not be this year’s model, but I’d argue that a beauty convoy this delightfully over-the-top never really goes out of style.
