Kraig gears up for second spider silk harvest

ANN ARBOR – US biotech firm Kraig Biocraft Laboratories says it is preparing for the second production cycle of its BAM-1 spider silk hybrids which can be used to produce textiles that are antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, and biodegradable.

This latest phase will build on the success of the first production cycle completed in July with the recombinant spider silk generated from this production batch expected to be available for sale and use in end-market product development.
