The 2022 MTV VMAs kick off at 8 p.m. EST tonight, and music’s big night—held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey—is bound to serve up some stellar acts and fashion moments. The trio of hosts are LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow, and the highly anticipated performers include Blackpink, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Lizzo, Panic! At the Disco, Maneskin, and Anitta. The most nominated musicians, up for the prestigious video of the year accolade, are Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and Lil Nas X.
Before all your favorite performers hit the main VMAs stage, however, Hollywood’s top stars will make an appearance on the red carpet in their glitziest and boldest outfits. The VMAs have a history of creating memorable ensembles, after all—remember Lady Gaga’s meat dress, or Lil’ Kim’s purple nipple pasties?—so this year is bound to excite on the fashion front.
