Olivia Munn is divulging more details about her extremely intimate wedding ceremony with John Mulaney, which took place last summer with just the couple, their son, Malcolm, and one witness in attendance. The duo was expecting their second child at the time, who was carried by a surrogate. Munn recently shared that at their wedding, Mulaney surprised his bride with a locket containing a picture of her sonogram so the whole family could be together on their special day.
"I was really sad, I was telling John, 'Oh man, I wish that she was here, because in the photos, if she looks back on the day mommy and daddy got married, Malcolm will there, but she won't there,'" Munn later told Kelly Clarkson on her talk show. "And so, he found this vintage locket and he put her sonogram picture inside, and he surprised me with it."
As Munn reflected on the moment, she added, "It was very emotional. He’s very thoughtful and sweet.”

Munn and Mulaney have since welcomed their baby girl, Méi, who was born on September 14, 2024. The Mortdecai actress announced her arrival via a post on Instagram.
"I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter," Munn wrote in her caption. "When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true."
She continued, "I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded."

Mulaney and Munn also share a three-and-a-half-year-old son, Malcolm, who arrived on November 24, 2021. The actress later revealed that she and the comedian "barely knew" each other when she fell pregnant. "It wasn't necessarily, 'We're going to be married and live together' or any of that, but it was 'I'll be involved in some way,'” she told GQ.
Two months prior to his arrival, the pair decided to "try" raising their son as a couple. Four years, two kids, and one marriage later, it's safe to say their bet paid off.
