There was a time when the boundary between “workout clothes” and “actual clothing” was firmly maintained. But Australian label Bonds has designed an athleisure collection for just this scenario with the Move Recycled collection. Billed as the new uniform for “life in motion”, we have to say, the collection of buttery soft and sleek separates is convincing the purists on the ELLE Australia team of the merits of a reformer-to-lunch to Love Island-binge-watch wardrobe.
Why? Because it lets us live our easiest lives without sacrificing polish. At the heart of the range is a buttery-soft, recycled peached fabric equipped with four-way stretch. It moulds effortlessly to the body, offering that signature weightless feel we have loved from Bonds since our first set of training bras, while delivering the structure and sculpting properties that some of us who have long outgrown them appreciate.
And, made with recycled fibres, it minimises the environmental impacts associated with the spandex, Lycra and polyfibres we work out in. From elevated silhouettes to thoughtful, practical touches like internal pockets and ultra-flattering high-waisted cuts, the collection introduces several immediate wardrobe heroes. Our highlights include the Support Cami, which provides the perfect amount of structure without feeling restrictive, and the slightly flared Yoga Pant – a flattering pant with an on-trend silhouette.
Along with classic neutrals, the new collection features a few pops of colour that make styling easy. The shades Deepest Berry and Cherry Pepper provide welcome splashes of colour that mean you don’t need to sacrifice main character energy while you’re on the reformer bed.
