Venice Film Festival 2026: See All The Stars Dazzle On The Red Carpet

The Venice Film Festival is always one of the most glamorous events in the calendar and at the 83rd this year, stars are out in force.

Each year the storied Italian city hosts A-list stars in straight-from-the-runway looks and masterful archival executions. The event, which runs from September 2 to September 12 on the Venice Lido, brings a line-up of exciting films including Lance Oppenheim’s Primetime starring Robert Pattinson, Danny Boyle’s Ink starring Guy Pearce and Jack O’Connell, and Florian Zeller’s Bunker starring husband-and-wife duo Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

Of course, in Venice airport terminals and water taxis become makeshift runways as stars make their way across the lagoon, with the arrivals at the Hotel Excelsior often providing as much sartorial inspiration as the premieres themselves. And then there’s the red carpet. This year, Laura Dern arrived by boat in Alaïa, while Claire Foy has already delivered a string of Bottega Veneta looks. George and Amal Clooney also made a characteristically glamorous entrance, with George receiving the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement on opening night.

Kendall Jenner, meanwhile, touched down in an immaculate all-white look carrying an unreleased Chanel weekender before making her Venice Film Festival red-carpet debut in an archival Giorgio Armani gown from 1995.

Robert Pattinson has become one of the most exciting fixtures on the red carpet. In the A24-produced film Primetime he plays Chris Hansen, the real-life host of NBC Dateline’s infamous 90s series To Catch A Predator. While Chris Hansen has been critical of his performance those who saw it at Venice are lapping it up — the premiere received an eight minute standing ovation and Pattinson who is having a stellar year with The Odyssey and The Drama is collecting Oscar buzz. He has been joined by his partner musician Suki Waterhouse on the red carpet, the pair cutting a stylish silhouette in respective Dior and Saint Laurent ensembles.

Eighteen-year-old Ever Anderson, daughter of Resident Evil actress and model Milla Jojovich and filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson, has also caught our attention on the red carpet. The young actress is promoting Barthélémy Grossmann project Father Joe, which she stars alongside Kiefer Sutherland and Al Pacino. Anderson has joined Jonathan Anderson’s stable of muses and has so far looked radiant in a series of suitably feminine and girlish confections.

All in all, its been a fitting start to Venice where archival pieces, new-season style and old-school movie-star glamour invariably collide.
