News we didn’t see coming? Trisha Paytas, YouTube star, Broadway singer and controversial internet personality, is taking her tour to Australia.
Trisha Paytas has sold out shows in the US and brought her live show to Royal Albert Hall. So what exactly does the 36-year-old controversy generator have in store for us? In her close-to-two-decade career, Trisha has explored beauty YouTubing, mukbang videos, ASMR, comedy, and has written a memoir. Not to mention being at the centre of viral reincarnation conspiracies and making brief appearances on Euphoria. Currently, she’s best known for her hit pop culture podcast Just Trish and co-hosting Not Loveline with Tana Mongeau.
And by the time she gets to Australia, there could be more. In January, she announced in a YouTube video titled 2026 Manifestations that she would “love to run” for a seat in the US House of Representatives representing her home state of California (in a follow-up she shared that she was “currently Googling” how to run for Congress). She hasn’t ticked that off the list just yet but in May she did release her first K-pop song titled “사랑해 Saranghae (I Love You),” an intriguing number sung entirely in Korean. “I love learning new languages, and this was such a challenge to do the whole song in Korean!!!” she shared. We can imagine. While some listeners weren’t enthused about another instance of seeming cultural appropriation, the song had a surprisingly positive reception, reaching #2 on the US K-pop charts between “Golden” by HUNTR/X and BTS’s Suga.
What Will Eras Of Trish Be About?
It’s kind of in the name. Eras of Trish is a look back at Paytas’s 18-year journey with fame, a “self-aware” look back at the many controversies and internet-defining periods of her career. The live show is billed as part concert, part storytelling, and part comedy show as she reflects on life as a multi-hyphenate during a rapidly evolving period on the internet.
How Much Are Trisha Paytas Tickets?
While official Australian pricing hasn’t been disclosed, tickets to Paytas’s sold-out shows ranged from $39 to $89 US while a VIP meet-and-greet package scaled up to $720 US. Expect Australian general admission seats to start around $70-$110 US, with VIP packages and photo-op privileges significantly higher.
What Is On Trisha Paytas’s Set List?
Expect a fever dream jukebox of viral discography and stand-up monologues. We would of course hope to see a performance of the viral K-pop track “사랑해 Saranghae (I Love You),” but we will also hear camp cult classics like “Freaky,” “I Love You Jesus,” “Superficial Bitch”, and some of her iconic Broadway covers.
What Was The Conspiracy Around Trisha Paytas’s Children’s Names?
Trisha and her husband Moses Hacmon have taken an experimental approach to baby names. Her children include: daughters Malibu Barbie and Elvis and a son born in 2025 named Aquaman. After the birth of Aquaman, the internet went wild with a viral TikTok “reincarnation theory.” Netizens had convinced themselves Trish’s babies were time-stamped reincarnations of recently passed public figures (Queen Elizabeth II and Ozzy Osbourne amongst them). So far, Trisha hasn’t confirmed.
What Have Trisha Paytas’s Controversies Been?
Trisha is one of the most controversial YouTubers of all time, and it’s a competitive arena. Described by Rolling Stone as “one of the most divisive trolls on the internet,” she has frequently been accused of cultural appropriation. In 2011, she debuted a Japanese pop star alter ego named Trishii. She has also come out as transgender, dressed as Cleopatra, and faced intense backlash for rapping the racial slurs on camera.
In the last few years, Trisha has acknowledged the offence she has caused and attributed her behaviour to her struggles with mental illness, disclosing she was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in 2021. However, she’s also copped to being ultimately after the cash, telling Rolling Stone “I get it… I’ve said crazy stuff for attention. For money. I took trolling too far.”
