It’s not everyday you get to rub shoulders supermodel, but that’s exactly what the V-VIP guests at Longines’ exclusive after party got the chance to do.
The stylish soiree followed the official opening of the luxury brand’s fifth Australian flagship boutique, located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD on the corners of Pitt St Mall and Market Street. The evening also celebrated the 70-year history of the iconic Conquest line of timepieces, the first in the brand’s history to have it’s name protected – back in 1954.
Brand ambassador Barbara Palvin arrived by boat to a harbour-side private Point Piper residence where she was joined (unfortunately not by her famous husband Dylan Sprouse, but) by emcee for the evening Lucia Hawley as well as Longines’ VP of Market Bernando Tribolet. Together they welcomed Sydney’s social set as well as friends of the brand, including Dylan Alcott AO, artist Sarah Ellen and actor Maddison Brown.
Even amid Sydney’s most stylish the Victoria’s Secret Angel shone, charming the assembled crowd with her disarming banter and easy elegance. The Hungarian model may have been battling jet lag but that didn’t dampen her spirits – nor her ability to enjoy the celebration, complete with fireworks no less.
Palvin said of the evening, “I’m incredibly honoured to be here in Sydney for the launch of Longines’ new Sydney flagship boutique. It’s exciting to celebrate this special moment with a brand that represents timeless elegance and precision. As an Ambassador for Elegance, I’m thirlled to be a part of Longines’ legacy, especially as we mark the 70th anniversary of the iconic Conquest collection. Australia has such a vibrant spirit, and I’m looking forward to sharing this experience with the local Longines’ community.”
Palvin has just confirmed that she will again be walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – which after it’s six years hiatus is big news. We can’t wait to see her doing what she does best – albeit this time from a distance.
